If you can’t even keep your Twitter account safe...how are you gonna protect your users?

Three steps to lock down your Twitter security

1. Review Your App Permissions

Go to your account settings and revoke any apps you don’t absolutely need. Be cautious—most Twitter phishing scams start by tricking you into clicking fake calendar or meeting links that grab your Twitter access. And seriously, don’t download random “collab” software. Stick to online docs whenever you can.

2. Turn On Multi-Factor Authentication

Use something like 1Password to store and share passwords securely. Set up MFA with SMS, an authenticator app, or a security key for extra protection. OneKey wallets support FIDO/FIDO2, so we’re all in on it here. And heads up—based on feedback, try to avoid using a U.S. phone number since they’re more vulnerable to SIM swap attacks.

3. Keep an Eye on Logins

Check your login history regularly and sign out of anything suspicious. Hackers don’t always make a move right away, so these checks can save you. And if Twitter flags any unusual activity, go straight to your security settings and update them.

⚠️Got hacked? Here’s your game plan

Use the “Forgot Password” option to reset it, then contact Twitter support ASAP with verification details to speed things up.
