What is Phantom SOL?

Monad is a high-performance, EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain designed to address the scalability and throughput limitations of existing decentralized networks. Its core innovation lies in parallel execution, a fundamental architectural redesign that allows the network to process multiple transactions simultaneously. This contrasts with the sequential transaction processing model used by the original Ethereum Virtual Machine, which can create bottlenecks and lead to high gas fees during periods of high demand. By enabling parallel processing, Monad aims to achieve a theoretical throughput of 10,000 transactions per second (TPS) while maintaining low transaction costs. A key feature of Monad is its full equivalence with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This means that developers can deploy their existing smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) from Ethereum to Monad without needing to rewrite any code.
